The title might be humorous and a little cheesy, and parts of the movie might have been, too.
But that was the point of the movie and the style the producers were going for.
Unfortunately, it seems that those casting their dollar-sized ballot at the box office didn’t get the memo.
With stars like Harrison Ford, Daniel Craig, and Olivia Wilde “Cowboys and Aliens” was a not-so-typical western mixed with a science fiction overtone.
As usual Daniel Craig plays the mysterious stranger that nobody wants to trust but who proves too invaluable to let go, Olivia Wilde plays the beautiful but fierce female role, and Harrison Ford makes his presence known with the gruff but caring personality he’s so well known for playing.
The general premise of the movie is that the three, who meet under unusual circumstances, go through the desert to find and kill aliens who have been terrorizing the people and have threatened to take over.
With slanted humor, action, and the best of both world for fans of both genres many people who saw the film reported enjoying it. But the only thing terrorizing directors and producers after this movie was released was the scary numbers at the box office.
