The show, which shared the same title with its huge big-screen parent, did not share the movie’s success, and it got canceled after three seasons due to dwindling ratings. Rachel Blanchard took over the role of protagonist Cher (as Alicia Silverstone’s popularity blew up after the movie was released), but most of the original cast reprised their roles.
