7. Doctor Strange
For quite a long time, Doctor Strange has been one of the most recognizable heroes in Marvel’s A-Team. However, not many people were looking forward to making him the star of a superhero flick – until recently, that is.
Stephen Strange’s story is a turnaround one – once his hands get irreparably injured in an unfortunate accident, his career as a top-notch neurosurgeon ends. Then, Strange goes to the Himalayas to search for a cure, only to find an entity called The Ancient One, which transforms him into the Sorcerer Supreme.
Luckily for all of us, director Scott Derrickson was bold enough to make his move, and now we can expect to see Benedict Cumberbatch in the role of Doctor Strange when his movie hits theaters in late 2016.
