As the name suggests, Bruceploitation is a film genre that revolves around films that exploit Bruce Lee’s martial arts skills and popularity, and starring any Bruce Lee look-alike with decent kung-fu abilities.
Bruceploitation started after Lee’s death in 1973 with Hong Kong studios cashing in on variations of Lee’s most popular film Enter the Game of Death.
Bruce Lee imitators starred in these low budget films that even used the elements of the title of Lee’s Enter the Game of Death, such as Re-Enter the Dragon, Enter Two Dragons, and Enter Another Dragon.
The bizarre thing is that these films were marketed as genuine Bruce Lee films, and they managed to make a decent amount of money thanks to the confusing titles and good Bruce Lee look-alikes.
