Kristen Wiig started as a Saturday Night Live funny girl and she did an amazing job on that show. She soon started getting roles in hilarious skits and well-received comedies.
She excelled in “Knocked Up”, while her role in “Bridesmaids” has solidified her position as one of Hollywood’s funniest actresses of our generation.
However, among the plethora of comedies Wiig has been doing over the years, there are few rather solemn and darkly dramatic roles she managed to land, and the one that caught our eye is certainly her portrayal of Johanna Perry in 2014’s “Hateship Loveship”.
The movie itself encountered mixed critics, but Wiig did an awesome job depicting this introverted and sparse character. This movie was “tantalizing sampling of the depth of Kristen Wiig’s talent”, as one critic noticed.
