15 Actors Who Stick to Character Acting

4. Christoph Waltz

Christoph Waltz was practically unknown to North American wide audience prior to Inglorious Basterds (2009), which catapulted him to instant fame practically overnight.

A superb character actor, Waltz usually plays humorous but flawed characters and has so far won two Academy Awards for Best Actor in a Supporting Role, in 2009 for Inglorious Basterds and again in 2012 for Django Unchained.

Waltz also won a Bafta award and a Golden Globe for both of those movies, scoring a rare double hat-trick in Hollywood.

Waltz brings a certain dose of charm to his characters regardless of how devious they may be, and critics agree he was born to star in Tarantino’s films.
