To say that John Malkovich is known for playing deeply disturbing characters would for some be an understatement, but on the other hand, Malkovich’s chameleon-like abilities make him one of the best character actors of all time and certainly one of the most famous actors on our list.
In 1984, the actor starred in “Death of a Salesman”, his first Broadway production, earning an Emmy when the play was made into a TV movie a year later.
That same year, Malkovich made a film debut in “Places in the Heart”, earning an Oscar nomination for the role.
His other credits include Empire Of The Sun (1987), Dangerous Liaisons (1988), In The Line Of Fire (1993), Con Air (1997), Being John Malkovich (1999), Changeling (2008), Burn After Reading (2008) and Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011).
