10. Fight Club (1999)

This movie definitely pushed the boundaries of society criticism and certainly proved that cinematic attempt on a book can be just as brilliant as the novel itself.

Based on a story by Chuck Palahniuk, David Fincher utilizes his unique dark vision of modern society and tells the story of an unnamed everyman who is discontented with his white-collar job.

He forms a “fight club” with his new best friend, a soap maker called Tyler Durden, and they are joined by men who also want to fight in order to rediscover their own purpose in this dim world.

The dynamite cast is comprised of a brilliant trio Edward Norton, Brad Pitt, and Helena Bonham Carter, who give this modern day “craziness” a whole new dimension and make questioning everything you ever thought to be the right thing when it comes to human existence.
