15 Game of Thrones Characters We Didn’t Expect To Get Killed

6. Robert Baratheon

Despite the fact that King Robert Baratheon was one of the more truthful characters in “Game of Thrones” and a very close friend to Ned Stark, he didn’t live long enough to see what happens in the next episode.

King Robert had poor luck right from the start. First off, he was married to the venomous Cersei Lannister, who despised him. Secondly, his son was Joffrey – if this isn’t the worst thing that could ever happen to someone, we don’t know what is.

Ultimately, it was neither of these two that ended Robert’s reign. While hunting for boars at a pretty drunken state, his pray turned against him and ripped open his belly.
