4. Sara Gilbert
Certain actors simply come across as being homosexual in the eyes of viewers. Sara Gilbert has grown up on the small screen, transforming from teenager to adult in front of the world in two different roles.
Gilbert first gained notoriety as Darlene on the series Roseanne. More recently, she has played the sexy-nerdy scientist Leslie Winkle on The Big Bang Theory.
Her character on the latter series had a number of sexual encounters with Dr. Leonard Hofstadter on the show and she is often portrayed as a sexually voracious scientist.
In real life however, Gilbert is in her second long-term relationship with another woman. From 2001 to 2011, Gilbert was with Allison Adler and the couple had two children together. Since splitting from Adler in 2011, Gilbert has moved on to date musician Linda Perry. As of March 31, 2014, Gilbert and Perry are officially married following a one year engagement period.
During her career, Gilbert has also appeared on a number of other major television series, including ER, Private Practice, Law & Order: Special Victim’s Unit, and Grey’s Anatomy.
