A surprising amount of research went into the making of “Four Lions.” The movie’s makers researched suicide bombers in the context of contemporary times and interviewed terrorism experts, imams and even police. Essentially the film pokes serious fun at fanaticism. In fact, some compared its cast to “The Three Stooges.”
