11. Pulp Fiction (1994)

This black comedy crime film is probably one of Tarantino’s best work ever.

It is really excruciating to have to choose only one thing which made this movie the classic it is today.

Its wacky characters take us on a surreal ride of disordered scenes, eclectic dialogues, ironic mix of humor and violence, nonlinear storyline, and all those cinematic allusions and pop culture references.

This masterpiece was nominated for seven Oscars. Tarantino and Avary won for Best Original Screenplay, while John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson and Uma Thurman received the Academy Award nominations. It was also awarded the Palme d’Or at the 1994 Cannes Film Festival and made major critical and commercial success.

20 years later, Samuel L. Jackson still knows by heart the famous Ezekiel speech he delivers in one of the most famous scenes from this movie, And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to question anything said above about this great work.
