11. Kevin Costner – Prince Of Thieves

After Dances With Wolves, Kevin Costner decided to take a role in 1991’s Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, and not just any role – he played Robin Hood himself.

The movie was a huge hit, and Kevin was, in fact, not. Sure, he was dashing, in great shape, had the look of someone who might have resembled a person who may or may not ever existed…

So, what went wrong?

A couple of things, actually, with the biggest one being the fact that Costner isn’t British while Robin Hood (theoretically) was.

That’s not a problem, you say? He’s an actor – he can do accents, you say? Wrong. Costner had no intention of doing a British accent, he wouldn’t even give it a try.
