15 Movie Mistakes You Might Have Missed

12. Robocop

During the famous “Rock Shop” sequence in the second act of Paul Verhoeven’s “Robocop,” the title character storms into a warehouse filled with drug dealers, the film’s main villain and a hilarious amount of 1980s cocaine.

The sequence soon becomes “robot versus man,” as Robocop begins hurling villain Clarence Boddicker through walls and panes of glass.

If you look closely, one of the panes of glass actually shatters before Clarence makes contact. The pyrotechnic that breaks the glass automatically fired too early.

The mistake happens in a split second, but once you’ve seen it you’ll never be able to miss it again. Legend has it that a fugitive on the run from the California police in Sacramento snuck into a movie theatre that was showing Robocop in an attempt to hide from his pursuers.

The man then became so engrossed in the action onscreen he failed to notice that the rest of the audience had been silently evacuated from the theatre. The fugitive soon realized his mistake after the lights came on and he was greeted by a squad of bemused police officers. Crew members also make multiple appearances during the movie after their reflections are clearly seen in the door of Robocop’s car.
