15 Movie Mistakes You Might Have Missed

Aladdin

6. Mixed-Up Tiger Bites

You wouldn’t expect to see errors in an animated film as the artists have full control over the characters and the background, but movie mistakes can occur just about anywhere.

In the Disney film “Aladdin”, the tiger bites the seat out of one of the princess’ suitor’s pants. You clearly see purple pants with a big hole in the rear, showing white boxer shorts with red hearts.

In the next scene, we see the tiger with a mouthful of white fabric with red hearts. The fabric in its mouth should be purple like the pants, not patterned like the shorts it left behind.

It should be noted that this continuity error has been corrected on the most recent versions of the film released on DVD and is expected to remain so on the upcoming “Platinum Series” Blu-ray to be released in 2014. Robin Williams showcases his considerable vocal talents during the movie as the voice of Genie.

Most of the Genie’s dialogue was improvised by Williams and led to the editors ending up with over 16 hours’ worth of audio material. Despite being one of the main reasons for the movie’s success, Williams’ was paid only minimum wage for his efforts and eventually fell out with the studio over pay disputes.
