11. Pushing Daisies

You would think that a show who was nominated for 17 primetime Emmys and won 7 of them would have a long-lasting career on television.

However, for “Pushing Daisies”, a show about a pie maker who discovers he has the ability to bring anything that is dead back to life by simply touching it, that was not the case.

Although the show was critically acclaimed, won several awards, and had a devoted fan base it was canceled after just two seasons.

The show spanned several genres, including romance, mystery, crime, and drama, but even its versatility and creative writing and plot twists weren’t enough to keep it on the air.

Every Season of Pushing Daisies is Waiting for You on Amazon!

Ned, the main character, discovers he has the ability to bring anything back to life by touching it. However, anything he resurrects will die again permanently if he touches it again.

Fans also loved the creative romance between the two main characters, and tension was maintained by the fact that Ned, the male main character, could not touch his romantic partner or she would die since he had originally resurrected her from the dead. Unfortunately, Ned’s resurrecting touch only worked when it was scripted and could do nothing for the show.
