Aliens invading Earth and taking over resulting in a dramatic war and struggle for humanity seems to be one of those subjects.
However, the television show “V” didn’t captivate audiences long enough to come back for another season.
A new show not captivating audiences long enough to finish out its second season might not be that big of a surprise. However, most remakes bring back fans from the past who enjoyed the original version.
Since the show was a remake of the 1980s show of the same name, it is surprising that the old fans didn’t get as interested in new show as they did the old one. While most fans are upset when the show ends because of a cliffhanger, that was not the case with “V”.
By the middle of the second season, the Bliss was enslaving all of humanity and alien spaceships were standing by watching over the earth ready to invade at the slightest sign of rebellion. It can safely be assumed that things did not end well for the inhabitants of the earth. However, fans are probably upset about the ending of the show because it left off on such a depressing note.
We suspect that people were hoping Erica would leave the humans to a victorious overthrow of the alien inhabitants and thus help us all sleep a little better at night. But unless producers someday go for a third revival of the show, chances are the true ending will never be known.
