The concept of an ordinary human being somehow coming into possession of extraordinary powers touches on the primal desire to be more than we are.
The show “Heroes” took that to the next level by bringing the idea of the superhero into modern day life, taking it out of the confines of a comic book or a man in a funny cape and bringing it into the workplace, the school, and other areas of life in which we all function daily.
However, by the end of the show’s four seasons it had almost become a spoof of itself and many people who had initially been interested in the show had moved on to other series.

Most of the diehard fans still want the show to come back, but by the time had come to an end most of the actors in the show had moved on to other projects, and even though a new plot twist had just been introduced with Claire’s decision to reveal her powers to the world it wasn’t enough to keep the show going.
While there is still an Internet spinoff and graphic novel in existence, it seems it will take a real superhero to get the show back.
