Despite the mutant in the movie’s name is Apocalypse, it seems like the whole flick will be based around the all-time favorite Jennifer Lawrence character Mystique.
Previous reports revealed that the movie will shed more light on her relationship with Beast and Magneto. And now, Lawrence hinted how much importance the new movie will actually give to her character.
In an interview with IGN, when asked if her role in the next “X-Men” movie was going to be heroic or villainous, the actress said: “She’s very complex, so she’s kind of both. She’s a hero to her own race, in a way, which makes her a villain to the opposite race. I don’t really know where she’s going to go. I’ve had a few conversations about where we’ll find her. She basically has to be in hiding somewhere, but I don’t know.”
These actions might come off as heroic at first, but her whole plan before those events were kind of bad – aiming to murder an inventor and pointing a gun at Richard Nixon all seem as villainous to us.
While many character – such as Charles Xavier and Magneto – have seen some serious development over the movies, we bet that Mystique is going to be the main character of the “First Class” trilogy.
