While the famous filmmaker already has some pretty badass sci-fi movie titles under his name (the upcoming “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, the 2009 installment of “Star Trek”, as well as its sequel “Star Trek Into Darkness”), J.J. Abrams seems to be tackling another huge, but mysterious sci-fi picture.

Untitled (still)

Abrams, Bad Robot and Sony Pictures are reportedly already started plans for the currently untitled movie, and they decided to hire Chris Alender to direct the whole shebang.

According to The Wrap, the most recent version of the script was penned by Justin Doble, but all other specific details are being kept closely under wraps.

On the other hand, we do know that the project is going to be similar to the film “Cloverfield” in terms of tone and budget, and some aliens are also being mentioned, however, it is probably best to wait for the official report.

J.J. Already Has A Teaser?

As for Abrams, it is indeed a bit shocking that the filmmaker is managing to find the time for anything new at the moment, since he is probably swamped with work on the new “Star Wars” installment.

Nevertheless, the filmmaker appears to have everything planned already, as he reportedly assembled an official “lookbook” for the project – an action-packed 5-minute teaser for the movie to share his idea with studio executives.
