It appears that the only man who could take down “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1” from the top of US box office was Ridley Scott.

Even though “Exodus: Gods And Kings” got a tad mixed reviews and generated some controversy when it comes to the casting, Scott’s latest movies opened nicely.

Moses Vs Noah

The Moses cinematic made $24.5 million in the US and more than $74 million worldwide up until now. However, the movie hasn’t displayed the same opening tsunami as its fellow Biblical picture called “Noah,” which generated $43.7 million earlier this year.

Nolan’s sci-fi adventure “Interstellar” landed sixth, adding $5.5 million to its total and “Horrible Bosses 2” doesn’t seem to live up to its first installment, earning $4.6 million and taking position 7.

Dumb And Dumber To” fell down to eighth place with $2.7 million, while “The Theory Of Everything” was pushed down to ninth place with $2.5 million.

Reese Witherspoon’s “Wild Hiking” rounded the top 10 with $1.5 million.
