As the most successful comic-based movie franchise, the “X-Men” series demands certain respect and attention, which we are more than willing to give.
As Bryan Singer, the director of the franchise’s seventh installment posted a picture of Olivia Munn last night with the following comment: “Excited to welcome @oliviamunn as Betsy Braddock! #Psylocke #XmenApocalypse”
Aside from the fact that “The Babymakers” star Olivia Munn has officially joined “X-Men: Apocalypse,” this news also suggests that the only characters of the upcoming action flick that still haven’t found their actors are Angel and Jubilee.
Similar to Jean Grey, Betsy Braddock is a telepathic mutant. However, she doesn’t possess any telekinetic powers, but is able to switch bodies and cast illusions on her foes. Her most favorite form is that of a female ninja, and you can bet that we can’t wait to see Munn in that outfit.
Betsy Braddock, a.k.a. Psylocke has been rumored to play a part in the events of “X-Men: Apocalypse” for some time, but how big that part will be is still a mystery. Bottom line, we agree with this casting choice, and we believe that Olivia Munn will probably fit the mutant collective just fine.
