All these Marvel Cinematic Universe movies were exciting and fun, but if there was a character we really wanted to see get a solo movie – besides Deadpool, of course – it would be Gambit. However, if you got used to the fact that Channing Tatum is going to star as this character, we’ve got some bad news.
This becomes even worse once you add the fact that the movie found its director just a few weeks ago when Rupert Wyatt was hired to helm it. Tatum has been an important part in the “Gambit’s” fast development so far, so don’t be surprised if it gets postponed or worse.
It’s not clear why the actor wants to quit on this project. He probably didn’t have a problem with Wyatt, since he had a say in the decision of hiring a director.
Whatever the case may be, we hope Tatum changes his mind so that both he and all of us can have a fun time with “Gambit” when it gets released on October 7, 2016.
