With a star-studded cast, “Snatch” includes the acting talent of individuals such as Benicio del Toro, Dennis Farina, and Jason Statham alongside Pitt.
The story of the film follows separate groups of protagonists trying to find an 84-carat diamond stolen during a heist in Antwerp.
As the story unfolds, viewers see Pitt’s gypsy character (notable for his unintelligible language) constantly stringing along Statham’s character as he seeks out the 84-carat diamond and the reward money offered for its return. At the same time, competing forces are searching for the diamond and the lives of the various characters are woven through the story as the film plays out.

“Snatch” enjoyed reasonable success when it was released, especially when its revenue is compared to ticket sales. The movie was made for a scant $10 million, but grossed roughly $45 million in ticket sales between the US and UK markets.
Over the course of the past decade the film has developed a significant cult following. Many movie critics slammed Ritchie for regurgitating the storylines and characters found in some of his previous films, most notably “Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels.”
