Bruce Lee Is Getting A Biopic

Aside from the massive number of sequels and reboots that have been growing in numbers in Hollywood, biopics are also one of the main genres of movies that have been arriving on the big screen recently.

And there are some good news in this department, as we find out that the legendary martial artist Bruce Lee is about to get his very own, legit biopic.

We say ‘legit’ because many people still confuse “Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story” as a valid telling of Bruce Lee’s story. Even though it’s a great autobiography, it’s based around the actor’s widow Linda Lee Caldwell, and therefore is not an actual Bruce Lee biopic.

According to a report from Collider, the actor’s daughter Shannon Lee is set to produce the project, while Lawrence Grey and Janet Yang have been given the jobs of co-producing the unnamed movie.

In case you’ve been living in a cave for the past 30 years, let us remind you why Bruce Lee is still so important to the movie world.

The Hollywood star did not only revolutionize the action movie genre, but is also considered as one of the biggest philosophical minds of the modern age. His statements always left people thinking about the various aspects of life, as he himself tended to do from time to time.

All in all, it would be nice to revisit this legendary action hero. The fact that Lee’s own daughter is tied to the project can only be a plus, as we will most likely get a whole new insight on the actor’s life, beliefs, and character.
