Drama At The Oscars: The Case Of The Stolen Dress

Aside from the awards, celebrities come to the Oscars to show off their unique and innovative styles. And last Sunday, actress Lupita Nyong’o came to the 87th Annual Academy Awards in a dress that turned heads, which made her the best-dressed celeb of the evening.

However, the Mexican actress wasn’t as lucky a few days after. According to TMZ, Nyong’o reported that her $150,000 dress was stolen from her hotel room!

The actress was staying at The London West Hollywood, and on Wednesday evening, her custom-made Calvin Klein dress, which she wore for her appearance at the Oscars, was taken from her room while she wasn’t there.

Nyong’o won both an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress and the main page of every fashion magazine in the past week. As she commented before, her outfit had more than 6,000 pearls in various sizes on it, but nonetheless, it was comfortable.

While we were also stunned by how beautiful Lupita Nyong’o looked in that amazing dress, we’re sorry that it got stolen.

Let’s not give up hope just yet, because there is a chance that the police will find the missing piece of attire. They’re checking The London West Hollywood’s security footage as you’re reading this, and you better believe they can find a $150,000 pearl-encrusted dress.
