You’re not even interesting enough to make me sick.” Cher simply owns in this one. Everyone would put on a long face after hearing such an utterance.
Jack Nicholson was on the receiving end of this tirade and deserved every word of it.
Jack plays Daryl Van Horne, a mysterious, wealthy stranger who arrives in the small town of Eastwick and begins seducing the town’s most beautiful women. Susan Sarandon and Michelle Pfeiffer star alongside Cher as the witches that become drawn into Daryl’s dark and enticing world.
After spending time at the mansion, all three women begin to develop magical powers that have tragic consequences for the rest of the town. The film provides the perfect stage for Nicholson to showcase his tremendous acting skills that include impeccable comedic timing.
The part was originally given to Bill Murray and would no doubt have resulted in a very different movie. The film was popular amongst audiences despite a few critics complaining that the special effects used for the final scenes were a little over the top.
