The film returns to its original format after a slight deviation for the fourth instalment entitled “The Marked Ones.”
The producers have obviously realised that audiences simply cannot get enough of the “found footage” thriller. The fifth movie follows a young family that soon realize something is not right with their house after a series of unusual events.
The writers behind the “Paranormal Activity” franchise have cleverly managed to link all the movies together with one central storyline. The fourth instalment was intended to clarify exactly what was going on by introducing the audience to the sinister coven of witches that are behind most of the events.
The franchise has been a huge commercial success grossing over $800 million worldwide. Creator Oren Peli directed the first film and even used his own house as the setting for the movie. Many different directors have taken charge of the subsequent films with Peli taking a backseat as a producer.
Expect some twists, some thrills, and things that go bump in the night.
