Wood’s character is forced to stay with some extended relatives including his cousins Henry and Connie. Henry is played by Culkin.
While Henry seems polite and well-mannered, his seemingly good behavior is only a mask for his dark side which Wood’s character Mark is able to fathom early on.
Mark would like nothing more than to rat Henry out, but Henry has made some terrible threats if he does. Even so, Henry begins to torment those around him and even tries to murder his own sister by throwing her out onto the ice.
The ending of the film is a strange one and you won’t forget it once you watch. Culkin might not have glowing eyes in this film or jump out of wells to frighten onlookers, but he does give you chills making him seem like one incredibly creepy kid. This powerful film is worth re-watching if you haven’t seen it for a while. It boasts a strong cast and the plot is simply marvelous.
