This movie stars Sandra Bullock as the white Leigh Anne Tuohy who was a stand-in mother and full-time believer, supporting the homeless teen in real life.
It is a true shock for the young African American whose mother is a drug addict and whose father’s whereabouts are completely unknown. The movie depicts young Oher’s struggle with obtaining the skills for proper formal education, and that’s where Leigh Anne comes in, making sure he succeeds in every opportunity given to him.
Once the interest in football kicks in, Leigh Anne goes out on a limb to support Oher and even lecturing the coach on how to best treat the young boy. It all culminates with Oher qualifying for an NCAA Division I athletic scholarship. Watch the movie to see Oher become the first-round pick of the NFL draft.
