If there is something Marvel fans can completely agree on, it’s the fact that Joss Whedon created a masterpiece when he made “The Avengers.” Unfortunately, he announced leaving the franchise after “Avengers: Age of Ultron” is complete, but rumors of his return have been circulating the interwebs.
However, while doing an interview with Empire, Whedon broke all illusions about him potentially coming back for “The Avengers: Infinity Wars,” the next installment in the franchise.
So it’s very doubtful that I would take on the two-part Infinity War movie that would eat up the next four years of my life.”
The director also mentioned his wishes about staying a part of Marvel Cinematic Universe to some degree.
Whatever the case may be, it’s highly unlikely we’ll be seeing more of Whedon’s work with Marvel’s name on it in the near future.
